The face and neck are the most common areas for Botox. By relaxing different facial muscles, you can shave off years of your appearance and look like a younger, better-rested version of yourself.

Keep in mind that Botox is not designed to remove or “freeze” your facial expressions. When performed by an experienced provider, like the cosmetic team at Dr. Patty Miami, your procedure should look subtle, be painless, and yield minimal to no bruising and discomfort.

These are some of our favorite areas of the face to treat with Botox:

Glabellar lines — these are the horizontal indentations that appear right in between the eyebrows. Sometimes called frown lines, this is an ideal place to inject Botox because it will both fill and smooth the area.

Forehead and crow’s feet — sometimes called “surprise lines,” these forehead creases are the most common concern of patients under 40. Botox injections can temporarily soften forehead lines and help prevent new wrinkles from forming.

Bunny lines — you know those cute little nose wrinkles some people do when they laugh or sniff something? If you do it, too, you need to stop ASAP. Scrunching your nose too much creates permanent tiny creases, called “bunny lines.” The solution is to inject a bit of Botox into either side of the nose to smooth away those wrinkles and keep the muscles from contracting too much.

Lipstick lines — the fine lines that form around your pout can be the result of aging or years of smoking. Botox relaxes the muscles above the upper lip and in the corners of the mouth to temporarily fade these lines. And as an added benefit, the injections typically cause the upper lip to roll slightly upwards, making it look juicier and more voluminous.

Jawline — Botox can be strategically injected into the lower face area to make the surrounding muscles pull up and in, slimming and sculpting your jawline in the process.

Neck —  the dreaded neck bands or “turkey neck” can make you look years older than you actually are. With Botox injections, you can reduce the appearance of these annoying bands and make your neck look longer and thinner.
