Incisions

Your breast surgery’s incisions are the small cuts your surgeon makes on either side of your chest to insert the implants. There are 4 types of incision locations in breast surgery:

Periareolar: along the outer edges of the areolas. Women with larger areolas or that wish smaller, more conservative implants are good candidates for this type of incision.

Inframammary: in the folds beneath the breasts. This technique provides optimal control of implant placement and minimal visible scarring.

Transaxilary: within the armpit. While this type of incision is typically limited to smaller implants, it is a great option for women who want to avoid scarring on the breasts.

Transumbilical: within the navel. The implant shell is inserted through the navel and filled with saline solution once it reaches the breast pocket.

Immediately after

1 Week
