Recovering From Brow Lift Surgery

The recovery experience for a patient that received a traditional brow lift will differ significantly from a patient that underwent an endoscopic brow lift.

Classic brow lift patients can expect temporary numbness and discomfort along the incision area. Mild to moderate swelling and pain can last two to three weeks, but can be managed with prescription medication. As your nerves heal, you may also experience some tingling or itching in your scalp, which typically resolves within a couple of weeks. Depending on the extent of the correction, your surgeon may place fixation devices to hold the brows in place while they heal, such as tacks, stitches, or staples.

An endoscopic brow lift involves smaller incisions, so the recovery will be quicker and easier. You can expect mild swelling the first few days following your procedure, but incision site pain is usually minimal. Endoscopic brow lift patients may also require temporary fixation divides but will experience less of the numb or itching sensation than classic forehead lift patients.
