Let’s Talk Styles

With an exclusive selection of personalized braces options, nothing will stand between you and the smile of your dreams.

Metal Braces

These are not your middle-school tongue-scratching brackets. Traditional metal braces are now more comfortable than ever thanks to revolutionary advancements in the field of orthodontics. Dr. Patty Miami’s metal braces are made only with the highest quality stainless steel to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience.

Clear Braces

Our [ceramic braces] are made of a translucent material designed to blend with your tooth color. Some of our guests prefer ceramic braces over metal because they are more discreet and gentler on their gums and cheeks.

Lingual Braces

Lingual or Incognito are a type of braces that sit on the back of the teeth. As a result, they have the advantage of being practically invisible. Lingual braces use the same mechanisms as traditional braces, except the brackets and wires will not be noticeable from the front.

Damon Braces

The Damon System uses a patented slide mechanism that allows teeth to move more freely, eliminating the need for rubber elastics. Damon braces are designed to be faster, more comfortable, and easier to clean than conventional braces.

Adult Braces FAQs

Am I A Candidate For Six Months Smile?

Feeling unsure or overwhelmed about the prospect of adult braces? You are not alone. Here are answers to some of the most questions about braces.

How Much Do Braces Cost In Miami?

One of the questions we hear the most at Dr. Patty Miami is “how much will braces cost?” There are many factors that influence the price of orthodontic treatment, including the type of appliance, the complexity of the case, and estimated treatment length.

These are the average costs for braces in the US:

  • Metal $3,000 – $7,000
  • Ceramic $4,000 – $8,000
  • Damon $5,000 – $8,000
  • Lingual $8,000 – $10,000

Most dental insurance plans don’t cover orthodontic treatments for adults over 18. However, some may partially cover children under the age of 18.

At Dr. Patty Miami, we believe that having a beautiful, healthy smile is worth every penny. But we also understand that orthodontic treatments can be a significant investment. Call our office today to learn more about our flexible financing options and payment plans.

How Long Will My Treatment Take?

The amount of time you will spend with braces varies due to the personalized nature of each treatment. In general, orthodontic treatments can take anywhere from 6 to 30 months to complete.

Do Braces Hurt?

Getting braces put on your teeth doesn’t hurt. At Dr. Patty Miami we use only the latest technology, including painless and less-radiation advanced digital x-rays that go around your head so you don’t have to bite on that uncomfortable metal square that hurts your teeth so much.

You may experience some soreness during the first week after getting braces. This pain can be managed with over-the-counter pain medications like Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen. You may also want to stick to soft foods while you get used to your new braces.

How Often Do I Need To Come In For Appointments?

Regular appointments are necessary for a comfortable and successful orthodontic experience. The amount of visits you will need varies depending on the type of treatment, but in general, you should expect to see us every four to eight weeks to check on the progress of your teeth and make adjustments. These visits typically take 20-30 minutes.
